HIMMELSBACH (1983) is a community-driven artist, idea generator, and occasional social realist. His work manifests in monuments to unwritten histories and futures, playful campaigns, and guerrilla interventions that challenge and disrupt collective assumptions.
His work is part of the collections of Museum De Domijnen in Sittard and the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam. His projects have been featured in NRC Handelsblad, Het Parool, and RTL Nieuws, and he has exhibited in Amsterdam, Berlin, Ghent, and New York. Recently, he won the Museum Het LAM’s Art Entrepreneur Award and the broadcaster Omroep MAX’s television contest ‘De Nieuwe Vermeer’.
