The idea behind this project arose with the question of what needs to change in the Netherlands at the moment and what is really worth paying attention to. The harrowing stories of refugees who have to live for years hopeless in detention centers under the direst circumstances led to the idea of embracing a message on behalf of the Dutch people: “Refugees are Okay”. If there is one thing that needs to be realized, then this is it.

In 2007 I printed 2500 stickers and distributed them over all major cities in the Netherlands. Eight years later, the refugee issue was again high on the political agenda and the stickers were reprinted.
